The MotoGadget mo.Lock NFC is a contact free digital ignition lock with NFC technology (based on RFID) and substitutes mechanical ignition locks or their electrical switching feature respectively.
The associated digital key/transponder only has to be brought close to the mo.lock NFC (switching distance approx. 20-40 mm) and the ignition is switched on or off completely contact free.
The mo.lock NFC is based on the latest NFC technology (Near Field Communication) and is therefore (unlike radio remote controls etc.) tamper-proof. Each key/transponder has a unique digital code.
The mo.lock can be actuated with the correct digital code only. Key/transponder and mo.lock have no mechanical parts and so are not subject to mechanical wear.
The mo.lock switches an automotive relay with a possible load of up to 40 A - sufficient power for every on-board system.
The hidden mounting of the small mo.lock, covered by non-metallic parts like e.g. a plastic side panel, permits completely removing the mechanic ignition lock. Clean look and various design possibilities are guaranteed - especially for custom bikes!
The mo.lock NFC has an RGB LED on the front (particularly useful when mounted behind panelling), which clearly displays the switching states and learning phases with different colors. The quiescent current is only 3.2 mA for the first 16 hours. After that, it continues to be reduced to 1.5 mA. After another 8 days to 0.75 mA.
The 2 included keys are key fob sized and can be used to switch on/off or to learn/teach new keys. You can learn/teach up to 125 keys.
NOTE: We do not recommend using the mo.lock combined with immobilizers! Contact your dealer/manufacturer for informations about the possible deactivation of the immobilizer.

Detailed attachment and operating instructions
All advantages summarized
-
NFC technology is tamper-resistant
-
Each key has a unique code
-
The key first activates the mo.lock without touching it and then, via the relay, the entire on-board system
-
Neither key nor mo.lock NFC suffer from mechanical wear
-
The key requires no battery
-
No overload or scorched pins possible due to indirect switching via the 40 A main relay
-
The mo.lock NFC is very compact an can be mounted hidden in many places
-
Water tight and vibration resistant because of the moulded-in construction
-
Keys can be easily purchased and 'learned' to any mo.lock NFC - your integrated locksmith
-
A switching distance of 2 - 4 cm ensures convenient switching while excluding the possibility of accidental engagement
-
An integrated RGB-LED shows the status of the mo.lock while switching, connecting and 'teaching' new keys
Optional Extras
Motogadget m-Lock Backup Capacitor:
The mo.Lock backup capacitor can attenuate short-term voltage drops at the main relay. Major voltage dips can occur with very large cylinder displacement or high compression if your electric starter turns the engine very slowly or reluctantly. This backup capacitor can be used to prevent the short-term voltage dip from causing the main relay to drop out.
Cable Kit
The mo.lock NFC cable kit is a ready-made cable set for connecting the mo.lock NFC.
This cable kit made of copper strand cable, contains a high-quality, modern plug-in fuse with cover as well as an integrated relay socket suitable for an automotive relay.
The different cross-sections are adapted to the use of the 40A relay.
- Length cable from relay base via fuse to +12V and dimensions: 60 cm
- Length cable from relay base to mo.lock NFC: 150 cm
- Length of cable from relay base to electrical system: 150 cm
- integrated relay socket
- integrated 40 A plug-in fuse
