Every centimetre counts to place the headlight as neatly as possible between the two standpipes in the fork.
"Reduced to the Max" was the premise for the development of the innovative Frame headlight mount. With the simplistic aluminium ring it is possible to mount LED headlight inserts free-standing on the motorcycle. The deliberate omission of a headlamp housing enables an unbeatably slimline installation and also provides better cooling of the LED unit.
The installed LED daytime running light & position light in the Frame-R1 Type 8 are the perfect ways to improve visibility during the day. The correct daytime running light switching on the vehicle functions without additional control boxes or switches, simplifying the installation.
The built in LED cornering lights offer clear advantages over a conventional headlight. The static cornering light activates an additional light when the motorcycle is tilted - due to the improved illumination you can see more of the curve and what is behind it. The driver can better react to conditions and is safer on the road. Two ellipsoidal lenses in combination with powerful LEDs turn night into day and thus combine a strong plus in safety with a polarizing unique look.
The Highsider Type 8 7" inch LED headlight provides both high and low beams with a (symmetric - suitable for worldwide use) prismatic chromed reflector, clear lens & built in Daytime Running Light, Cornering Lights and Position Light.
Switching from daytime running light to low beam:
Press the high beam flash button briefly (approx. 1 second) and release the button as soon as the low beam is active. Then the low beam is permanently active.
The Type 8 headlight is equipped with a symmetric dip beam pattern it is fully E-marked and road legal for all countries, eg UK and Europe, USA and Australia.
For variable mounting of the headlamp two different mounting systems are available;
- Side Mount, the conventional screw connection at the side of the lamp holder. The side mount holders can be mounted in three positions, thus compensating for 32mm in installation depth and 46mm in width.
- Bottom Mount, attachment at the bottom for screw connection to the fork bridge
