The BikeIt Trackday Motorbike Digital Lap Timer is a simple and reliable lap-timing unit for all race and practice purposes. It comes with a wireless I.R. transmitter and has a compact and lightweight design. The LCD receiver is easily mounted to road and off-road motorcycle, karts, cars and cycles.
The receiver should be mounted to the vehicle in an appropriate position which does not interfere with vehicle functioning (self adhesive velcro mount included) When the receiver (fitted to the vehicle) passes by the IR transmitter (left in a suitable location such as the pitwall) the lap number is displayed and time is recorded, building up data of lap splits. If multiple BikeTek lap timers are in use in the same session, just one transmitter should be used (ensure no more than one transmitter is in use) It is the users responsibility to ensure that laptiming devices are authorised for use at the track / circuit.
